Summer 2014

I had a particularly awesome weekend. Yesterday I ran 14 miles in the morning and then went to a fruitluck hosted by Ryan and Anji from Happy Healthy Vegan. They have a great you tube channel and recently reached 1 million views on their videos! It thrills me to think about all the people that are being influenced to become vegan. I am truly inspired by people that can just share their experences with others and change so many lives. I for example was influenced to eathigh carb low fat from watching you tube videos from Durian rider and Freelee I joined 30bananasaday and have not looked back since January 1 2013. I have been inspired to open up my own clinic one day and help people one on one to improve their health. I was to integrate mental health, fitness, and nutrition into one life transformation process. I have the expertise and the credentials to help people in the fitness aspect and the experience in the nutrition aspect and I am in the middle of learning how to become a MBTI and emotional intelligence expert. I am being coached by a business development leader who is a professer of at UCLA. He believes in me and I am so blessed to have him as a mentor. I have written my biography and would love to share it with anyone who would like to read it. I have to say I am pretty proud of myself. I don't typically think of myself as special or unique because I think anyone can achieve their goals and dreams if they put their mind to it but I have been through a lot of shit and the odds were against me. I overcame and I want to help people realize their potential as well. This weeks physical activity: (please follow me on strava at JoBerry Sweet) Sunday 8/17: 12.6 mile bike ride Monday: Pilates and yoga about an hour total Tuesday: Bike ride with the Luna Chix 15.1 miles Wednesday: Ran 7 miles pace 12:01 yes I know I am a slow poke. Thursday: 3.8 mile run with the Pasadena Pacers pace 12:55 Friday: Zumba World party Wii game 20 minutes and 30 minutes of power yoga. At work that morning I climbed 12 flights of stairs. I have a lot of preschoolers at work that I teach to use the stairs safely and efficiently. Saturday 14 miles pace 12:58 What a wonderful weekend. I had amazing fruit and met a lot of really awesome people at the Fruitluck. I am super excited to begin my new business venture. I am thiking of Treenity Clinics. For the 3 aspects of health I am addressing, rooted deeply like a strong tree in integrity and love for humanity and the planet. Just like the tree of life. We are all interconnected and interdependent on eachother. Here is my weekend selfie with my precious and my abs that I have not worked on much lately...need to work on the core to protect my low back.

Resurrection....

So I decided it was time to resurrect my blog. I think that this could be helpful for many people as well as therapeutic for me. I plan to post my daily adventures more regularly and hopefully get people to follow me so I can help those out there looking for my advice. I live in Pasadena now with my little sister. I am so busy these days working as a full time PT for LAUSD and working per diem at nursing homes, hospitals, and seeing patients in their homes with the birth to 3 population. I am still keeping strong as a vegan now more high carb than I was previously. I trialed a full year completely raw but as an athlete it was tough to maintain as I needed some more complex carbs to stick to my guts...ya know? I enjoy fruit for breakfast and sometimes lunch, sometimes I have oatmeal, potatoes or some other starch for lunch and steamed veggies and starches for dinner. I am training for marathon number 3 this November 8th in Santa Barbara. I met a really great guy at my running group and he is now my mentor. He teaches business planning at UCLA. He is helping me to develop a business plan to set up a PT clinic integrating a wholistic approach to life coaching by ME! I am excited about it! He is also helping my sis out. I am so greatful for the people God sends me. The Universe gives me exactly what I need at the right moment. So my divorce finalized in December 2013. I am so much happier. I thought after a little convincing from friends that I was ready to date...HA! I met a guy and whoa even though we hit it off my guard was way up and he wanted a GF and I was like uh no...so I pushed him away like a scared PTSD divorced lady. I am just going to enjoy my single life and not put up any online profiles on anymore dating sites. I am a monk people. This heart needs healing.... Ran the Grand Canyon Half Marathon in May with my bro Arthur. We are members of the skeleton club as well. 19 miles total that day! Powered by dates mostly.
